1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern every order placed through the Lakin Living online store ("we," "us," "our") by consumers and businesses alike. By browsing our store, adding items to your cart, or completing a checkout, you agree to be bound by these Terms as they stand at the time your order is placed. These Terms apply alongside any other policies we publish on our store, including our Returns & Refunds policy, which is incorporated by reference where relevant to your order.

3. Conclusion of contract
The product listings displayed in our online store do not constitute a legally binding offer to sell on our part. Instead, they are an invitation for you to place an order. When you click the order button at the end of the checkout process, you are submitting a binding offer to purchase the goods contained in your cart, on the terms and at the price shown at that time.
After you submit your order, you will typically receive an automatic email confirming that we have received it. This confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order only and does not, by itself, constitute our acceptance of your offer. A contract between you and Lakin Living is formed only when we accept your order, which we do either by sending you a separate order acceptance email or by shipping the goods to you — whichever happens first.
4. Prices and shipping
All prices shown on our product pages are quoted in USD and include statutory VAT and other applicable price components then in effect. These prices do not include shipping costs, which are calculated separately and clearly displayed to you during checkout, before you are asked to confirm and place your order. Please review the total order value, including shipping, on the checkout summary before completing your purchase.
5. Payment
The payment methods available to you are presented during checkout and may vary depending on your location, order value, and other factors. Unless we agree otherwise with you in writing, payment is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract. We reserve the right to use trusted third-party payment providers to process your payment securely; your payment details are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the relevant provider's own terms.
6. Delivery
We aim to process and hand off your order for dispatch within 1–2 business days of your order being placed. Once your order has been dispatched, delivery generally takes a further 3–5 business days, depending on the shipping method and destination selected at checkout. These are estimated timeframes rather than guaranteed delivery dates, and actual delivery times may vary due to circumstances outside our control, such as courier delays or events of force majeure. Any delivery estimates shown at checkout are provided for your convenience and do not form a binding delivery date unless expressly agreed with you in writing.
7. Retention of title
All goods supplied remain the property of Lakin Living until they have been paid for in full. Until title has passed to you, you agree to take reasonable care of the goods and not to dispose of or encumber them in any way that would prejudice our ownership rights.
8. Returns, refunds, and exchanges
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you are not, you may return eligible items within 30 days of receipt. Where a return is accepted under our policy, we cover the cost of return shipping — you will not be charged for sending an eligible item back to us. Once we receive and process your return, refunds are issued within 5–7 business days to your original method of payment. If you would prefer a different size, color, or item rather than a refund, exchanges are also available.

9. Warranty
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any statutory warranty or consumer protection rights you may have under applicable law in connection with your purchase, including rights relating to goods that are defective, not as described, or not fit for purpose. These statutory rights exist independently of, and are not to be understood as, any commercial or manufacturer's warranty, and they remain unaffected by these Terms.
10. Dispute resolution
If a disagreement arises out of or in connection with your order or these Terms, we encourage you to contact us first using the details in Section 2 so that we can try to resolve the matter directly and informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved this way, either party remains free to pursue any other resolution channel or legal remedy available to them under the governing law referenced below.
11. Governing law
These Terms, and any contract formed between you and Lakin Living through our store, are governed by the laws of the United States, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply in your place of residence. Should any individual provision of these Terms be found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be considered severable, and the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected.
